Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale Argent (Silver Gray) and Or, two scimitars saltirewise points down Gules surmounted by a lozenge axis horizontal Sable bearing an eagle's head erased of the second. Attached below the shield a Black scroll doubled and inscribed "EAGLE'S TREASURE" in Gold.

Symbolism
Silver gray and golden yellow are the colors traditionally associated with the Finance Corps. Black denotes solidity and solvency; red symbolizes valor and sacrifice. The lozenge is adapted from the Finance Corps insignia of branch. The eagle suggests the unit's association with the 101st Airborne Division and represents vigilance and military preparedness. The scimitars and the divided shield reflect the Battalion's two campaigns in Southwest Asia.
